All Aboard!!

I made this cake for Kaden's 2nd birthday. His mom liked another topsey turvey cake I had done with construction vehicles. I'm glad she suggested the idea. This was also a little bittersweet for me. My big boy, Will's 2nd birthday was Thomas the Tank Engine too. Now he's 9 years old!!! (sniff, sniff) -However his cake came from Sam's:) It was his 3rd birthday when I decided I wanted to try making the cake. That is when this obsession all began. The next train cake was for a baby shower. The baby's bedding had trains on it as well. I also found these cute pictures from Little Shindigs. I'll post a link below to the gallery. I really like the train track table runner. http://albums.phanfare.com/5611560

Sweet Celebrations

I'm really loving this party theme idea. There are so many possibilities! I talked Lauren into a candy themed cake for her slumber party. I'm super excited because I get to make another cake similar to this for a 2 yr. old.
Her mom e-mailed me the pics above for inspiration. You can also check out one of my new favorite sites, www.creativepartiesandshowers.blogspot.com for some really cute party ideas.

Hoppy Birthday!!

Olivia had a Bunnies by the Bay themed 1st birthday. If was fun trying to incorporate all the elements of this partyware into the cake. My favorite was the carrot. I love when there is a professional photographer at these parties. They make my cakes look so much better. These are from Angela Herzog photography. Jenna's Pool Party

It's always fun to have a summer birthday. You can't go wrong with a pool party. Especially when you've got one in your backyard:) Julie is another creative party momma. The party favor was a beach towel-how cute and useful! Again the party was photographed by Lynn. What great memories!

Splish Splash!!!

Birthday Fun times 3!!! I always get excited when I find out that Lynn is shooting a birthday party where one of my cakes will be. She is amazing. This was a special cake for me. I had these guys and gal in my class at Mothers Day Out when they where just babies. I cried my eyes out when they had to go to full time daycare!Again another cake and party inspired by an invitaiton. I love it!! Kelley is a one party mama:) Check out Lynn' s work at www.lynnstangerphotography.com
and the invitations came from www.lilduckduck.com

Posh 1st Birthday Cakes

This was for Reagan's first birthday. This was the first tiered smash cake that I ever made. Who says the smash cake can't be pretty!

Addison's cute 1st birthday princess cake. Adorable!

Alexa's cakes was one of my favorites! I love that her mom chose her custom birthday bib to inspire her
party. I think that sometimes using something like an outfit or a cute invitation to inspire is better than going to the party store and picking a theme.

Monkey Madness

Check out these cute invitations from www.babyfacedesign.com. I stumbled across her site and blog a few months ago and fell in love with her work. I've ordered a couple of things from her. I will post them when they come in.
These are some of the monkey themed cakes that I have done. I really like this theme for a boy 1st birthday.
Afterall, most 1 year old little boys are "little monkeys":)
